  • Calamgrostis acutiflora 'Karl Foerster' – Karl Foerster Reed Grass – Green leaves with golden flower plumes. Grows to a height of 60” tall and a has a width of 24-36” wide. Full Sun-Part Shade. Deer Resistant. Zones 3-9. 

  • Calamgrostis acutiflora 'Overdam' – Overdam Reed Grass - Ornamental grass with white edges and green stripes.  Grows to a height of 48-60” tall and has a width of 24-30” wide.  Full Sun – Part Shade. Deer Resistant.  Hardy Zones 4-8.

  • Chasmanthium latifolium 'Little Tickler' – Little Tickler Dwarf Northern Sea Oats – bamboo-like foliage and has showy seed heads that mature to a purple-bronze color. Grows to a height of 18-24” tall and has a width of 24” wide. Full Sun – Partial Shade. Deer Resistant. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 5-8.

  • Cespitosa 'Pixie Fountain' – Pixie Fountain Tufted Hair Grass - Has dark-green grass and gold plumes. Grows to a height of 16-24” tall and a width of 18-24” wide. Full Sun – Part Shade. Deer Resistant. Hardy Zones 4-9.

  • Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' – Elijah Blue Fescue – Clump-forming grass that is short-lived, low-growing, and semi-evergreen. Grows to a height of 6-12” tall and has a width of 6-12” wide. Full Sun – Part Shade. Part Shade is not recommended. Deer Resistant. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 4-11. 

  • Helictotrichon sempervirens – Blue Oat Grass – Clump-forming grass with steel-blue foliage. Grows to a height of 24-36” tall and has a width of 18-24” wide. Full Sun. Deer Resistant. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 4-8.

  • Hierochloe odorata – Sweet Grass – Hardy grass that has a vanilla fragrance and was once used by Native Americans.  Hardy zones 3-9. Native.

  • Leymus Salinus 'Basin Junior'– Basin Junior Wildrye – Clump-forming grass with silvery-green foliage. Full Sun. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 3-8. Native.

  • Miscanthus 'Purpurascens' – Autumn Flame Grass – This plant is a arch of red-green clumps...with a tinge of purple in the autumn. Grows at a height of 36-48” tall and has a width of 36” wide. Full Sun. Deer Resistant. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 4-9.

  • Miscanthus sinensis v. condensatus 'Cosmopolitan' – A strong and upright grass with an upright spreading habit of growth. Grows to a height of 84” tall and has a width of 48” wide. Full Sun – Part Shade. Deer Resistant. Drought Tolerant. Zones 5-9.

  • Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah' – Switch Grass – Valued for its red foliage. It is known for its striking red-purple fall color. Grows to a height of 48-60” tall and has a width of 18” wide. Full Sun. Deer Resistant. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 4-9.  

  • Poa secunda v. juncifolia – Mini Oat grass – Similar to Blue Oat Grass. Blades are rough to the touch. Grows to a height of 12-24” tall and has a width of 10-12” wide. Full Sun. Drought Tolerant.  Hardy Zones 4-10.

  • Erianthus ravennae Northern – Northern Pampas Grass – Grass with white flower stalks higher than the grey-green foliage. Grows to a height of 120” tall and has a width of 72” wide. Full Sun. Deer Resistant. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 5-8.

  • Saccharum ravennae 'Erianthus' – Hardy Pampas Grass – A more cold-hard variety of the popular White Pampas Grass. Grows to a height of 96-144” tall and has a width of 72” wide. Full Sun. Deer Resistant. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 4-9. 

  • Sporobolius wrightii ' Windbreaker' Los Lunas – Sacaton Grass – Tall, cold-hardy grass that thrives in heavy clay and dry, rocky soils. A great substitute for pampas grass. Grows to a height of 96-120” tall and has a width of the same. Full Sun. Drought Tolerant. Hardy Zones 4-9.
