How many cubic feet of product do I need?

Step 1)  Determine the areas length and width.  (Example: 4' x 5' = 20 square feet)

Step 2)  Determine the thickness you want of the product and multiply using the reference below.

  • 1" thick multiply total area by 0.08.  (Example: 20 x 0.08 = 1.60 or 1.6 cubic feet of material needed.)

  • 2" thick multiply total by 0.16.  (Example: 20 x 0.16 = 3.20 or 3.2 cubic feet of material needed.)

  • 3" thick multiply total square feet by 0.24.  (Example: 20 x 0.24 = 4.80 or 4.8 cubic feet of material needed.)

  • 4" thick multiply total area by 0.32.  (Example: 20 x 0.32 = 6.40 or 6.4 cubic feet of material needed.)

  • 5" or greater - Multiply .08 by the total inches then by the total area.  (Example: 12" depth x 0.08 x 20' = 19.2 or 20 bags)

Step 3)  Round up to determine the bags that you will need.
