Carolina Reaper produces wrinkled red peppers about 1–3 inches long, often with a pointed tail. The fruit has a sweet, fruity flavor underneath extreme heat that can exceed 1.5 million Scoville heat units. It is famous for being one of the hottest peppers in the world, so the fruit should be handled very carefully.
